FOOD PACKAGING
Meet the needs of food packaging
In-depth investigations of the migration behavior of TPE with different raw material compositions have enabled us to develop application-specific compounds for food packaging. These new TPE developments expand the application and design possibilities for compound flexibility to a maximum. Risk minimization and time saving by exact calculation of the migration behavior give optimization potential.

PROOF OF RECYCLABILITY
On behalf of KRAIBURG TPE, the independent testing and certification body Institute cyclos-HTP has successfully investigated and confirmed the compatibility of selected TPS materials in the recycling stream for high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP).
Previously, it was assumed that TPS was not recyclable in the waste stream. This assumption could be disproved for selected products from KRAIBURG TPE and therefore no longer applies to compounds from the competence leader. According to the latest findings, compatibility in the PP and HDPE stream with products from KRAIBURG TPE has been proven and confirmed. This unique selling point is continuously being extended to the product range.

The challenge is to combine the processability in injection molding with the very low potential of releasing substances, which is indispensable for fatty foods applications. At the same time, the materials must be recyclable
