Universal PCR TPE

In order to maintain its commitment to sustainability, KRAIBURG TPE relies exclusively on local raw materials for its production. Thus, at the moment, the series can only be produced in Europe. However, we are working flat out on solutions to be able to produce them in our plants in the USA for the NAFTA region and Malaysia for the Asia Pacific region. Interested? Contact us!

In developing the Universal PCR TPE grades, KRAIBURG TPE focused on offering customers materials where it is not necessary to compromise on mechanical properties. In addition, it is important for us to be able to guarantee customer-specific coloration and optimum odor properties. Overall, the mechanical properties of the new materials are thus on a par with conventional KRAIBURG TPE solutions from the well-known consumer portfolio. 

The PCR sources used have passed tests for various impurities, such as heavy metals and substances of very high concern (REACH, SVHC), without any problems. Universal PCR TPE does not currently meet food compliance. However, as mentioned in the web seminar, KRAIBURG TPE is consistently working on the further development of sustainable material solutions, also and especially with regard to food-compliant solutions.

KRAIBURG TPE lays the foundation for quality as early as the supplier selection, intensive incoming goods inspections and the processing procedure. Combined with online and offline quality checks, this gives us the opportunity to quickly identify and intervene in potential deviations. The quality of post-consumer recyclates is naturally subject to a different consistency than that of post-industrial or virgin raw materials.
