Are KRAIBURG TPE compounds suitable for food-contact applications?
1Yes. We develop application-specific compounds for food packaging and food-contact parts, taking Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and US FDA CFR Title 21 into account. Our FC/CM2 series is designed for fatty food contact with extremely low migration potential, while FC/CM3/AD1 covers general food-contact applications with adhesion to polar thermoplastics such as Tritan, SAN, PC, PET, PETG and ABS. The materials are free of phthalates, bisphenol A, latex and heavy metals.

Is TPE free of PVC, latex, phthalates and heavy metals?
1Our consumer TPE compounds are formulated without PVC, latex, phthalates or heavy metals. This applies across the consumer portfolio, including grades for toys, cosmetics and food contact. For a project-specific declaration, our regulatory team provides the relevant documentation.

Can TPE be coloured to match our brand palette?
1Yes. Our in-house colouring team recreates all colours with high precision in sample and series production and can match your individual colour palette. Colours are quality-assured, durable, and supplied with worldwide consistent colour quality. Translucent and transparent grades are also available, including for adhesion compounds.

How do I get samples or a material recommendation?
1Send us your application details — product category, substrate to be overmoulded, target hardness, colour and required approvals. A consumer market specialist will come back to you with a shortlist and the relevant technical documentation, and sample material can be arranged. You can also filter grades yourself in the Product Finder.
